SRINAGAR: In Indian occupied Kashmir, people staged massive anti-India, pro-Pakistan and pro-freedom demonstrations in Srinagar, Kangan, Shopian, Kulgam, Pulwama, Tangmarg and other areas on Friday.

The demonstrations were led by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyat leaders including Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Javaid Ahmed Mir, and Zamruda Habib.

The demonstrators raised high pitched anti-India, pro-Pakistan and pro-freedom slogans and also waved Pakistani flags in many areas.

Indian police subjected the protesters to brute force at numerous places injuring several people.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a big gathering at Kangan Chowk said that the Kashmiri people were offering sacrifices not for perks and privileges and their struggle was aimed at securing their inalienable right to self determination.

Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Javaid Ahmed Mir and Zamruda Habib addressing the demonstrations in Tangmarg, Kulgam, and Pulwama paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred in the areas.

They said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not go in vain and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.

Complete shutdown was observed in Shopian, Pulwama, and Kulgam districts against the killing of youth with shops and business establishments remaining closed and traffic off the road.

The students of Kashmir University held a demonstration at Hazratbal campus to protest the killing of youth by Indian troops in Kulgam yesterday. They also offered funeral prayers in absentia for the martyr.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar extended support to the rally being organised by the forum led by the veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani in Srinagar on November 7. The rally will be held at the TRC Ground on the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In New Delhi, the Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, a constituent of Syed Ali Geelani led forum presented a memorandum to the British High Commissioner to India informing him about the gross human rights violations perpetrated by Indian troops in IoK.
