ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said Monday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had taken notice of the long hours of load shedding in several parts of the country and directed to decrease its duration.
During a news conference held here, Abid Sher Ali accused the previous government of not taking any measures to overcome the power crisis, stating that they only took commission.
Abid Sher Ali’s statements come as several parts of the country are facing long hours of load shedding with temperatures rising. Load shedding of 10-16 hours is taking place in cities across Pakistan with power outages of up to 20 hours reported in Charsadda.
