LHC issues detailed verdict on Lucman’s plea

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has issued a written verdict over the plea filed by Mubashir Lucman seeking ban on Jang and Geo news.

The court had already rejected his plea few days ago in its preliminary hearing.

The verdict written by Justice Ijazul Hassan ruled that Mubashir Lucman leveled general and vague allegation against Jang and Geo group without providing any evidence.

The verdict further stated that the petitioner also failed to provide concrete record for proving the crime.

Jang is not guilty of any crime for which its declaration could be cancelled, the court ruled.
