Wedding ceremony of Dr. Qaisar Abbas’ son held in Dallas

Dallas: Shahrzad Ali Rizvi, a son of Urdu poet and former Assistant Dean at University of North Texas Dr, Qaisar Abbas, tied the knot with Mehrenn Kausar in Dallas.

The wedding ceremony was held at a local hotel with a large number of people from Pakistan, Canada, Australia and the United States in attendance.

The groom works for the Dallas Court as Management Analyst and the bride is completing her doctorate degree in neuroscience at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.


Dr. Qaisar Abbas is the founding president of South Asia Democracy Watch (SADeW), a nonprofit organization devoted to democracy and human rights in the region and also serves on the board of the Dallas Peace Center.
