KARACHI: The holy month of Ramzan will start from Monday in Pakistan as the Central and Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees could not sight the crescent.
The meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Karachi with chairman Mufti Munibur Rehman in the chair. Apart from the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Zonal Committees met in the four provincial capitals to sight the Ramzan moon. The committees didn’t receive any evidence of moon sighting from any part of the country
Earlier, Director General Meteorological Department Arif Mehmood said that the moon sighting was unlikely on Saturday and the holy month is expected to start from Monday.
