ISLAMABAD: Scattered rain with thundershower is likely to occur in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan Divisions, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir during the next 12 hours, according to the met office.

Different parts of the country received rainfall during the last 24 hours were Kasur 47, Malamjabba 45, Murree 43, Muzaffarabad 37, Garhi Dupatta 24, Balakot 19, D.G.Khan 16, Kakul, Bahawalpur 13, Astore 11, Kalam 9, Hunza 8, Bahawalpur City 7, Bunji 6, Lower Dir 4, Skardu, Parachinar, Barkhan, Gupis, Saidu Sharif, Pattan 3, Gujranwala, Gilgit 2, Rawalakot and Chilas 1 mm.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Saturday morning was Islamabad 26 degree centigrade, Lahore and Peshawar 28, Karachi 29, Quetta 20, Gilgit and Murree 18 and Muzaffarabad 24 degree centigrade.

According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over North Balochistan with its trough extending south eastward. Light to moderate monsoon currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating into central upper parts of the country and Kashmir and likely to weaken during the next 24 hours.

A shallow westerly wave is present over northern parts of the country.
