If Karachi had a Mayor, he would be answerable for Sea View: Sattar

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr. Farooq Sattar says if the port city had a Mayor, he would have been answerable for the incident at Sea View which claimed over 40 lives.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi the MQM leader announced that he will raise the issue of local government in the provincial assembly adding that if the common man's problems cannot be solved in the assembly then his party would also announce a date on the 14th of August to come out on the streets.

He further added that Karachi’s main problem was the absence of local government, adding that a Mayor would have addressed the people's issues adequately, further stating that his Mayor is ready to take on the responsibility.
