Sair Ali appointed acting PCB chairman

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appointed Justice (retd) Sair Ali as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman and chief election commissioner.

The acting chairman has been tasked with holding PCB elections within 30 days.

Former PCB chairman Shahryar Khan has been included in the governing board and replaces Iqbal Umar.

Meanwhile, Najam Sethi will not contest the election for PCB chairman and the new chairman will be elected from the governing board.
