Heavy firing near Bilawal House, no casualties reported

KARACHI: Unknown armed men carried out heavy firing outside a hotel located near Bilawal House here on Saturday night and then fled from the scene.

Upon hearing the gunshots, people present at the site started running here and there for safety. However, no casualties were reported as a result of the firing.

Later, police reached the spot to bring the situation under control.

It is pertinent to mention here that a meeting between Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Amir Sirajul Haq was underway when the incident of firing took place outside.
