FAISALABAD: The man who received accolades from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for quitting the Punjab police and joining the Imran-Khan-led party turned out to be a fraud.
Police said that there are plenty of cases registered against the man who was impersonating as a Punjab Police Sub-inspector.
Yasir Javed on Tuesday announced to quit his ‘police job’ to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. However, police say man is a fraud and his actual name is Muhammad Javed, adding that the Faisalabad police had nothing to do with him.
The police said that Javed was involved in many crimes including robbery and was arrested once for stealing official arm from a policeman.
Some of his acquaintances say he married 10 times and also worked as a volunteer at a police station.
