KARACHI: Number of polio cases has risen to 184 in Pakistan after emergence of 10 new cases in the country.

With new cases, the country is about to break its own world record of registering the cases of the crippling disease.

The Health Department conceded that the number of polio cases has been increasing rapidly.

It said that 10 new cases were reported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Karachi. Sources said that seven cases were reported from FATA, two from KPK and one from Karachi.

Moreover, the Independent Monitoring Board will meet in London on Tuesday to discuss the threats posed by the polio.

It is feared that Pakistan might face more restrictions for not controlling the crippling disease.
