HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks slipped 0.40 percent at the start of trade Tuesday, extending the previous day´s heavy losses, as a pro-democracy protest that has shut down parts of the city moved into a third day.

The Hang Seng Index fell 91.95 points to 23,137.26 in the first few minutes.
