KARACHI: Karachi Dolphins U-19 cricket team departed for Islamabad this morning from Jinnah international airport to play the quarter-final of the Inter Regions Under-19s Tournament 2014/15 against Peshawar Panthers to be played at Mirpur Azad Kashmir on 12th October.
The team is led by Saud Shakeel who is also the leading scorer in the 3 day format of this tournament, and coached by Mohammad Masroor.
The coach Mohammad Masroor was very optimistic about his team’s chances to qualify for the semi finals. He was confident that the team had found a very good momentum and combination and was capable of winning the tournament this year. He also said that the fact that the leading run scorers in both the 3 day and one day format (Saud Shakeel and Noor Wali respectively) and leading wicket taker in the one day format (M.Asghar) were part of his team, showed the strength in his line up.
