KARACHI: Rawalpindi Rams and Karachi Zebras have reached the PCB Inter-region Under-19 One-day Cricket Tournament final after both the semi-finals were washed out on Tuesday.
Heavy downpour in Muridke and Gujranwala resulted in the Zebras and the Rams qualifying as per tournament rules for the final.
The winners and runners up of the event would receive Rs200,000 and Rs100,000 respectively asannounced by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
The quarter-finals of the three-day competition will be played from Sunday.
Karachi Dolphins will meet Peshawar Panthers at the Mirpur Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Faisalabad Wolves face Bahawalpur Stags at the Gymkhana Ground in Okara, Lahore Eagles take on Quetta Bears at the Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala and Islamabad Leopards play Rawalpindi Rams at the National Cricket Ground in Islamabad.
The semi-finals will be staged from Oct 26 to 28 in Mirpur and Gujranwala, respectively.
