MULTAN: Independent candidates Amir Dogar and Javed Hashmi have bagged 38800 and 28536 votes respectively in the by-election for NA-145, said Returning Officer Muhammad Shahid.
According to the Returning Officer Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Javed Siddiqui has secured 4708 votes.
Independent candidate Amir Dogar, who also enjoys support of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf against Javed Hashmi, is leading with 11000 votes as ballot count continues.
Hashmi has accepted his defeat and felicitated Dogar over his victory.
