LAHORE: Pakistan U-19 successfully chased 198 set by Afghanistan U-19 at the Qaddafi Stadium Lahore in the 2nd of the 3-match ODI series.

Pakistan openers Zeeshan Malik and Sajawal Riaz made the chase look easy with a 78 run opening stand before Zeeshan was run out for a well played 50 off 44 balls.

Sajawal was the second wicket to fall but not before adding another 101 for the second wicket. Sajawal scored a solid 84 off 119 balls.

Just 8 runs before the finish Pakistan lost Danish Aziz who scored 38. Skipper Saud Shakeel and Noor Wali remained unbeaten.

Earlier Afghanistan had set 199 for Pakistan through an unbeaten 67 off just 62 balls by Rashid Khan. Other notable scorer was Juma Gul with 33.

Amir Jamal finished with 3-44 for Pakistan, whereas Awais Iqbal and Mohamad Shahabul to 2 wickets a piece.

The final and deciding ODI will be played on the 31st October at the same venue.
