RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif chaired the 176th Corps Commanders conference at the General Headquarters on Wednesday.

An ISPR press release said the conference was part of routine monthly meeting.

Participants of the conference were given a detailed briefing on the overall security situation in the country with particular reference to progress of ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Operation Khyber.

Participants expressed the resolve to continue Operations till elimination of terrorists and vowed that terrorists will not be allowed to regroup and return to these areas nor will they be allowed any space across the country.

COAS expressed complete satisfaction over progress made in Operations and gains achieved so far. He paid rich tributes to the courage shown and sacrifices rendered by troops during the ongoing operations.

COAS directed all concerned that no stone should be left unturned to assist TDPs during their stay outside and in their early return to their homes.
