KARACHI/LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain urged the government to take measures to cope with the threat of Islamic State militants instead of denying their presence in the country.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that evidence of IS presence are popping up in different parts of the country. “IS is a greater threat than Taliban that has entered Pakistan,” he said.
Hussain appealed to the people to show unity and rid the country of those killing people belonging to minorities.
He said that the nation should be informed about how the jawans of the Pakistan army had been fighting militants with courage.
