US national detained in Peshawar airport, bullets recovered

PESHAWAR: A foreign national has been detained in Peshawar airport on Tuesday morning, sources said.

According to the airport sources, the detainee, who is said to be a US citizen and personnel of consulate, was carrying bullets with him.

A foreigner had to travel from Peshawar to Islamabad via PIA PK-218 flight, sources added.

Airport Security Force (ASF) has kicked off the interrogation.
