Nation suffers from the politics of Generals: Nawaz

LAHORE: PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif said the nation had to pay the price for the politics of Generals' , adding that the Army's honour would be increased if it devotes itself towards defence, Geo News reported.

He was talking to media at the house of Colonel Sheraz, who embraced martyrdom in the war against terrorism.

Earlier, addressing the PML-N workers at Aiwan-e-Iqbal after a general workers meeting, he said the change is just round the corner and those who were claiming to bring change are getting out of sight.

Nawaz said there were no terrorism, suicide bombings and extremism during our tenure. Our present would have been much better if we were allowed to complete the term, he said.

'The politics of hypocrisy should end, some people claimed to get Pervez Musharraf reelected in uniform many times but today they are part of the government who issued red warrants for the dictator.'
