LAHORE: Police have unshackled two women found bound in chains in their own house here in Lahore, Geo News reported.

Police said they raided a house in Ghaziabad area of Lahore after neighbours reported about the incarcerated women in a house belonging to one Azhar Javed, the prime suspect.

Allegedly, the accused was reported to have detained his wife along with a teenage niece so that they could be prevented from leaving the house, which they both were fond of compulsively, according to a frustrated Javed.

He was duly arrested by the police.

Later the younger of the unchained women, Ambar baffled police by accusing her aunt Shamim of shackling her leaving her uncle off the hook.

Confused, police could not reach a conclusion as to who chained whom and decided to investigate the matter in depth to get to the bottom of the matter.
