LAHORE: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has reiterated he was not afraid of anyone, Geo News reported.
He was talking to media after addressing convocation of the Kinnaird College for Women here Friday. PM Gilani said he is a politician by-choice and he has no fear in this regard.
Gilani said the year 2013 is very significant for the country as the president, prime minister, chief justice, COAS and the term of parliament is ending this year.
He also announced Rs.60 billion grant for the Kinnaird College.
APP adds: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said PPP-led government would provide maximum relief to the masses in its fifth budget.
He said the democratically elected government would employ all available resources to make the budget people-friendly, despite economic odds and challenges.
The PM said it was the first democratically elected government which would present the fifth budget, and added no democratic government could complete its constitutional term in the past.
He said President Asif Ali Zardari would fulfill the constitutional requirement of addressing the joint session of the Parliament at the start of current parliamentary year. By virtue of this, Asif Zardari would become the first and sole Head of State to address the Parliament for the fifth consecutive year on March 17, he added.
He said the President would give the policy statement during the address to the Parliament.
To a question about writing letter to the Swiss authorities, Gilani said the matter was already sub-judice.
The Prime Minister congratulated the successful graduates and their parents on the completion of their degrees courses and expressed the hope they would bring laurels to their country and families.
