Quetta: Two cops shot dead

QUETTA: Unknown gunmen Wednesday shot two policemen down in Jinnah Town here, Geo News reported.

Police told Geo News the martyred cops were deployed at a picket when insurgents surprised them with indiscriminate shooting. Caught off guard, both the cops dropped dead before on the spot, they added.

Higher authorities arrived at the scene to launch an investigation.

The martyred cops were shifted to the civil hospital morgue.
