What do I congratulate govt for, asks Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N President, Mian Nawaz Sharif reacting to a statement of Prime Minister on Sunday asked what was one such thing the government had done in four years to deserve congratulations?

"Should I congratulate it for corruption, loadshedding, price hike or a clash with judiciary or people going missing in Balochistan or the law and order situation in Karachi?" Nawaz Sharif asked in reply to a query while talking to media.

He ruled out Pakistan's making any progress in the existing circumstance and termed the government's performance in four years as pathetically disappointing.

The PML-N President said talks and consultations would be held with opposition parties on recommendations in connection with Nato supply line.

He said any stand on the issue of Nato supplies would be taken by keeping in view the country's interest and every decision would be reflective of the aspirations of the people of Pakistan.
