One killed, two injured in Qasba Colony clashes

KARACHI: One person was killed and two others were injured when two rival groups clashed in Qasba Colony area of Karachi Friday, Geo News reported.

According to SHO Orangi Town, two groups exchanged fire that injured three persons at Qasba Morr who were shifted to the hospital. One man later died in the hospital who was identified as Ashiq Afghani.

Ashiq Afghani was wanted in murder cases while he was also arrested once earlier.

During riots in the area, miscreants burnt a car while shops closed down following the clashes.

Rangers and police surrounded the area to control the situation. They conducted raids and arrested more than a dozen suspects.

The area gave deserted look after the incident, however, women protested the arrests made during the raid.
