KARACHI: PPP leader Taj Haider has prepared a research paper regarding provinces, reviewing demands for formation of three new provinces.

According to the paper, creation of Seraiki province is being demanded by the exploited people of the area while demands for formation of Karachi and Hazara provinces are based upon ethnicity.

He said that Karachi and Hazara are developed regions, adding that people belonged to developed areas never demand for new provinces.

The research paper said that literacy rate of Karachi is 85 percent while 7 percent that of Seraiki regions.

Talking to Geo news, PPP leader Taj Haider said that the people from three divisions of Punjab province demanded for the creation of Seraiki province. He said Seraiki belt was the poorest region of Pakistan where people were being badly exploited.
