PESHAWAR: An excise inspector was killed following an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in the outskirts of Peshawar early Saturday morning, Geo News reported.

According to sources, terrorists planted explosives outside the house of Excise Inspector Khaista Mir in Daudzai Takhtabad area that went off early in the morning, killing the inspector on the spot.

Khaista Mir was the resident of Takhtabad Ghani Rehman Qila and was deployed in Haripur, police told.
