LAHORE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sindh Director Moazzam Jah has said the FIA is probing criminal negligence in Bhoja airplane crash, adding that the owner of the airlines Farooq Bhoja has been quizzed.

Talking to Geo News, Moazzam Jah said that Farooq Bhoja has not been arrested and only taken into custody for interrogation.

He said that according to the documents of Bhoja Air, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had twice tested the Boeing 737 passenger plane, which crashed on Friday leaving 127 people dead.

FIA Sindh Director said that the passenger plane was first examined in South Africa and then inspected in Pakistan.

He told Geo News that the crashed plane landed in Pakistan on February 2012 which was taken by Bhoja Air on 20 thousand dollars per month leasing from South Africa's airlines.

Moazzam Jah told that a person named Arshad Jalil and his family members own 80 percent shares of Bhoja Air, Farooq Bhoja owns 5 percent share while rest 15 percent shares are of two other persons.
