Ten forest department employees arrested

MIANWALI: Anti-corruption police Mianwali has arrested 10 employees of forest department for allegedly involved in irregularities and wood theft of worth millions of rupees, Geo news reported.

The police took action on the cases registered on September 07, 2011 against the DFO among 17 employees of forest department regarding wood theft of worth more than Rs 27 crores following the court ruling.

The action has been taken against four block officials, five forest guards and one former guard, whereas action against one DFO and two SDF among seven employees has yet to be taken.
