Court martial proceedings against Brigadier Ali concluded

KARACHI: Court martial proceedings against Brigadier Ali have concluded. Brigadier Ali was arrested last year on May 6.

He was accused of instigating a mutiny within the army, trying to seize power through unlawful means and having links with the outlawed Hizb-ut-Tahrir. The brigadier was later also accused of plotting an air strike on the GHQ in Rawalpindi.

The court martial proceedings against Brigadier Ali lasted for six months and five army officers who were witnesses of the prosecution testified against him.
