PM warmly received in Lahore

LAHORE: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf was accorded a rousing and warm welcome at the airport here Friday on his first visit to the city after assuming the office of prime minister.

Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa and Advisor to the Punjab Chief Minister Zulfiqar Khosa, besides a large number of federal ministers, PPP workers and high officials of the Punjab government were present at the airport to receive the Prime Minister.

Federal ministers Anwar Cheema, Samina Khalid Ghurki, Nazar Muhammad Gondal, Firdous Ashiq Awan and Imtiaz Safdar Warraich, PPP Secretary General Jahangir Badr, leader of the opposition in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz, Coordinator to President Naveed Chaudhry, Qasim Zia, Faiza Malik, Ch Ghafoor, Akram Gill and a large number of MPAs and PPP workers accorded warm welcome to the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira and Minister for AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo.
