RAWALPINDI: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has set up the protest camp against loadshedding in Rawalpindi in order to extend his protest base, Geo News reported Saturday.
He also ordered to resume the Naala Lai Express project on immediate basis.
According to the official statement, CM Punjab toured Rawalpindi early in the morning. He gave a briefing on the Naala Lai Express project and issued orders to form a committee for the resumption of the project.
It is pertinent to mention that the project was initiated by former minister Shaikh Rasheed in the regime of Pervaiz Musharraf that was halted later.
Shahbaz Sharif moved his protest camps to Liaquat Bagh where the local representatives and government officials were called.
Moreover, Shahbaz Sharif took an overview of the developmental programs of the city.
The public and security officials got into a scuffle when the public gathered at the spot along with their complaints after hearing about CM Punjab’s arrival.
Shanbaz Sharif said that the camps have been set up against the torturous loadshedding so that the conscience of the leaders could be awakened.
He further said that he will take a leap after the tent offices.
