KARACHI: Four persons including a policeman were gunned down and one injured in different firing incidents in the city, Geo News reported Tuesday.

According to police, unknown gunmen killed a policeman in Gulbahar area who was identified as Gulzar. Initial reports suggested that the incident was a result of target killing, however, investigation is underway.

A man was shot dead by the robbers while resisting snatching attempt in Quaidabad area. The victim was identified as Zahid aged 32. The culprits escaped after the incident, police told.

Unidentified gunmen also injured a man in North Nazimabad area.

A trader was gunned down in Metroville, SITE area, and sources told that he was killed as he did not pay the extortion money.

Another man was killed in Orangi area whose body was shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
