PALLEKELE: Emerging fast bowler Junaid Khan took another five wickets in an innings but Sri Lanka gained a big first innings lead of 111 runs over Pakistan on the third day of the third and final Test here at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Sri Lanka were all out for 337 in the post tea session in reply to Pakistan’s 226.
Their main scorers were opener Tharanga Pranavitana (75), late-order batsman Thisara Perera (75) and Thilan Samaraweera (73).
Junaid Khan grabbed five wickets for 90 while off-spinner Saeed Ajmal claimed three for 66.
Sri Lanka lead the series 1-0, having won the first Test in Galle by 209 runs. The second Test in Colombo was drawn.
