One more martyr found from Gayari

RAWALPINDI: Body of one more Shaheed soldier was recovered from the Gayari sector of Siachen on Saturday, bringing the total number of bodies recovered so far to 39.

According to a spokesman for the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), identity of the martyr was being ascertained while the search for 100 more martyrs is still underway.

Earlier on Friday, bodies of three other soldiers were recovered from the Gayari sector.

It may be mentioned here that during the search operation at Gayari, as many as 310 men and 51 engineer plants were employed. A total of 139 soldiers, including some civilians of the 6 Northern Light Infantry Battalion came under a huge snow slide on April 7 in the Gayari sector near Skardu.
