No ban on woman shopping alone: LM DPO

LAKKI MARWAT: There is no ban on woman visiting market alone and shopping around in Tehsil Sarai Naurang, said the District Police Officer (DPO) Umar Riaz on Sunday here, Geo News reported.

Talking to Geo News, Umar Riaz said that a meeting on law and order was held the other day, which was attended by the elders of the area, representatives of traders and DSP Sanaullah. Some elders in the meeting demanded from Sarai Naurang DSP to slap ban on woman visiting markets, while the DSP refused to accede to this demand.

DPO further said that following this meeting some participants on their own spread this rumour that Sarai Naurang DSP has slapped ban on woman visiting markets.
