ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has prepared a summary seeking increase in the price of petrol by Rs7 per litre while at the same it is also planning to propose a reduction in the rate of petroleum levy to save the consumers from a rise in POL prices.

The OGRA sources told Geo News that an international prices of crude oil have witnessed a 6 to 9 percent rise in the wake of 5-dollar a barrel increase in its rate since July 16.

In its summary, OGRA has proposed rise in prices of petrol and HOBC by Rs7 per litre, diesel Rs5, kerosene oil Rs4, and light diesel Rs3.75.
