BADIN: Ranikhet disease which has claimed the lives of at least 54 peacocks in Thar is now spreading to other cities and villages of Sindh.

Residents of Badin and Digri have reported that their pet peacocks have also been infected with the disease. As the disease continues to spread, there are not enough teams equipped with dealing with the outbreak. Three out of the four teams are operating with a specialist doctor.

According to locals, medicine to treat Ranikhet should also be given to chickens because they are spreading the disease to the peacocks.
