Pakistan Railways experiences another diesel shortage

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways is once again facing a severe shortage of diesel. Officials said Sunday that there was just enough diesel left to operate trains in Lahore and other divisions for a few hours.

Passenger trains will be stopped from operating if diesel is not provided by Sunday night. Officials add that the diesel train departing from Karachi will arrive in Lahore on Monday night.

Officials also complained that the railways powerhouse was not supplied diesel and if the powerhouse does not operate on Monday, the Railways Hospital will not have electricity during loadshedding.
