Five prisoners manage to flee in Chalas

GILGIT: Five prisoners managed to escape from jail located in Chalas district of Diamer in the wee hours of Wednesday, police said.

According to the police, the prisoners succeeded in breaking the lock of barracks and managed to escape by cutting safety wires on the boundary walls of jail.

The prisoners were accused in murder and dacoity cases.

Police has kicked off search operation.
