Chiniot: Child dies during land evacuation operation

CHINIOT: A child was killed when a landowner used tractors to bulldoze houses built on his land.

According to the police, a local sugar mill owner had bought one acre of land near Faisal Road which had houses built for the past several years.

When the owner asked the residents of these homes to vacate the land they refused claiming the old owner of the land had given them permission to reside here.

This prompted the new landowner to bulldoze the houses by running tractors over them due to which a child was killed.
