Three militants killed in Peshawar search operation

PESHAWAR: Three militants were killed in asearch operation conducted by security forces in Cantt. Area here between Sunday night and Monday morning, while two security men were also martyred, Geo News reported.

Police said that security forces conducted the search operation for several hours at R.A. Bazar and State Life Chowk in Peshawar Cantt.

Sources said that three militants had escaped from the custody of the forces and the operation was conducted for their arrests.

During the operation all the three escaped militants were killed, sources added.

Two explosions were also heard late at night from the operation site. A sense of fear gripped the city, while all roads leading to Catt. remained closed.
