KARACHI: Iran will buy wheat from Pakistan in exchange of fertilizer and pig iron, as an agreement for the purchase of one lac ton of wheat has by now been finalized, Geo News reported.
Ministry of food officials said that Pakistan will export wheat to Iran at $300 per ton and the first shipment to the neighbouring brotherly country was expected by the end of the current month. Iran officials would soon visit Pakistan for inspection of quality of wheat.
Experts said that Pakistan has about 20 lacs of surplus wheat, which could be exported.
