LAHORE: Ameer Jamaat e Islami Pakistan Syed Munawar Hasan has said that the country was facing a serious energy crisis that had ruined industry and agriculture but the rulers were least interested in its resolution.
Addressing a large Friday congregation at Mansoora, Munawar Hassan said that the masses were suffering load shedding of up to twenty hours a day but were being charged inflated energy bills while theft of electricity was on the peak, he said.
He said that in spite of plunging the country into a serious crisis, the rulers hoped to win the next elections. However, he said, if the gang of four remained in power for another five years, the country would be completely ruined.
Ameer Jamat is Islami said that the Muslim rulers trembling for the fear of the infidels must realize that wars were not won with the help of weapons; these were won with the power of faith and Allah's help. This was evident from the Battle of Badr, as well as, the Afghan Jehad where the US and NATO forces stood defeated despite their military might.
Islam not only guarded the rights of all the other religions and minorities but also provided them opportunities for growth, he added.
