Clerics condemn Israel's hegemonic designs

ISLAMABAD: Hundreds of Muslims Friday vowed to continue offering sacrifices to liberate Qibla-e-Awal from the Zionists' clutches.

Protestors assembled here after Juma tul-vida to mark Al-Quds Day and took out a rally under the aegis of Majlis Wehdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) and Imamia Students Organization (ISO) here from Markazi Jamia Masjid Isna Ashri G-6/2 and culminated at D-Chowk Blue Area.

They were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans like "we will liberate Qibla-e-Awal", "our sacrifices will continue till freedom of Qibla-e-Awal", "down with Israel, America", "we condemn killings of Palestinian Muslims" and others.

They were also chanted slogans like "down with Israel, America", "one who is friend of Israel and America is traitor", "Muslims' enemies are Israel and America" etc.

On this occasion, a heavy police contingent was deployed to avert any untoward situation.

Central leadership of MWM including Allama Fakhar Alvi, Allama Asghar Askari, Hasnain Gardezi, Allama Samar Abbas and others led the rally.

They strongly condemned US-backed Israeli oppression against Palestinians. They alleged that Israel on the behest and support of US was continuing massacre of innocent Muslims in Palestine.

They declared that observing the Al-Quds Day was a referendum against the Zionist state of Israel.

They said Israel was the biggest terrorist of the world and stressed the need to launch a war against it. "If we really want to end terrorism, the elimination of Israel is must," they said. The leaders said the Zionist forces were bound to face defeat at the hands of the brave and courageous liberation forces while Jihad against existence of Israel would not let the dream of the Zionist state come true.

They said that Muslims across the globe were suffering due to anti-Muslims policies of US. They urged the Muslims to shun their mutual differences and promote harmony among their ranks. They alleged that US was also dislodging Syrian government.

They strongly condemned killing of passengers in Babusar Top area by the miscreants. They added that government had failed to bridle the miscreants as incidents of killing of passengers were going unchecked in the said areas while outlaws were still roaming freely.

MWM leaders further slammed attacked on Kamra Base camp by the terrorists. They said it was need of the time that anti-state actors should be unveiled and awarded exemplary punishment.

They said that Muslims from every nook and country of the world would continue rendering sacrifices to get free Palestine from Jewish clutches. (PPI
