PESHAWAR: Banned outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP) key commander Tariq Afridi was shot dead by his brother in law in Khyber Agency on Tuesday, Geo News reported Wednesday.

Reports claiming Tariq Afridi’s murder have surfaced in the media today. Sources told that Afridi was riding a horse and was on his way when his brother in law opened fire on him on Tuesday, killing Afridi on the spot.

The TTP commander was involved in the kidnapping of late Polish engineer and in several other incidents of kidnapping for ransom.

Tariq Afridi was also reported to be a member of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
