KARACHI: Light shower in the metropolis turned the weather pleasant but caused power suspension in many areas Wednesday morning, Geo News reported.

According to sources, light rainfall in the city resulted in the suspension of electricity in many areas including Shah Faisal Colony, Malir, Landhi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Saddar and adjoining areas of airport.

The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) sources told that power supply was interrupted as 25 feeders tripped due to rain. The repair work was underway and the supply was resumed to many areas, KESC told.

The Met Department has predicted heavy downpour in the next 24 hours in Karachi.
