MUZAFFARABAD: Heavy downpour in Tehsil Nasirabad of Azad Kashmir swept away seventeen people while the bodies of four persons were recovered Wednesday, Geo News reported.
According to sources, seventeen persons including two women and four children were swept away when flooding occurred in Machyara area.
The assistant commissioner confirmed the incident and told that land sliding also occurred in the area after the rainfall.
The director of Disaster Management Authority Malik Shahid told that four bodies of the drowned persons were recovered while search was underway for the remaining 13 persons.
