NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, Saturday said his heart goes out to the families of the victims of the deadly factory fires that snuffed out hundreds of precious lives in Pakistan, Geo News reported.

Singh expressed his sorrow in a letter of condolence written to Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.

“I was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of lives in the fire accidents in Karachi and Lahore on Tuesday, September 11,” Singh wrote.

“On behalf of the government and the people of India, and on my own behalf, I convey our deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the two tragedies,” he added.

Over 250 people were killed in two separate fire incidents in Lahore and Karachi on September 11.
