Mai Kolachi road up to Jinnah Bridge closed, traffic disturbed

KARACHI: In the backdrop of protest rallies at the US Consulate, traffic police have closed Mai Kolachi road up to Jinnah Bridge slowing down the heavy traffic flow of the office goers on I.I. Chundrigar Road on Monday morning here, Geo News reported.

Long queues of vehicles heading towards Tower, Kemari, Boat Basin and Clifton were seen due to logjam caused by the closure of Mai Kolachi road.

It may be recalled that a strong protest was staged on the call of Wahdatul Muslimeen at the US Consulate, which later turning violent torched several vehicles and motorcycles.
